The banana bread phase of the pandemic may be over, but banana bread will always remain a staple. What else are you going to do with your ripe bananas? When life gives you ripe bananas, you have to bake banana bread!
There are thousands of recipes for making simple banana bread, but this one will promise you chewy, sweet, cinnamon and chocolatey delight in every bite with just the right amount of banana flavor. You can’t go wrong with this one.
Step 1 concerns the butter. You will want to melt about 1/3 cup of butter or about five 1/3 tbsp. You can either cook it in the microwave or melt it on the stove.
Step 2: take two or three bananas. Cut them and crush them. You can have fresh, ripe, or very ripe bananas.
Then pour the melted butter into the bowl with the bananas. Add a cup of sugar and mix. It will be a little big, so make sure you do your best. It should be yellow in color.
Step 4: Add an egg, a teaspoon of vanilla, a teaspoon of baking soda, a pinch of salt and a cup and a half of flour.
Once everything is mixed up it should look like this!
Step 6 is optional – add a pinch of cinnamon. If you use it, it’s up to you how much or how much you add, but don’t water it.
Then add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. You can also add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts. It’s yours.
Once all the chocolate chips are added (or nuts) and mixed, pour the batter into a loaf pan or two. The oven should be heated to 350 degrees.
Bake the breads for about 50 minutes to an hour. Use a fork, toothpick, or something to prick it. It is done if it comes out clean.
Let the mold (s) cool on a cooling rack for at least 30 minutes and enjoy! It’s delicious with your morning coffee or an ice cream for dessert.
