This decadent looking star bread is packed with nutella and is super easy to make. This egg-free treat is a must-have this Christmas!
For yeast activation:
1 cup lukewarm milk
1 tablespoon instant dry yeast
1 tablespoon of sugar
For the bread dough:
3 cups all-purpose flour
Pinch of salt
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
6 tablespoons Nutella
Take a bowl add the lukewarm milk, dry yeast, powdered sugar & mix well. Keep it aside for about 5-10 minutes for the yeast to activate.
Once the yeast is activated, add all-purpose flour, a pinch of salt to the yeast mixture and mix all the ingredients together until a soft dough forms.
Now keep this dough aside for an hour to make it rise.
After the dough rises, the dough would be risen to double its original size, divide it into four equal parts, roll each part like a chapati making it not very thin.
Take a parchment paper and place a chapati on it. add nutella on top and spread it evenly to cover the top layer. Now place the second chapati on it and repeat the process.
Once the layers are formed, gently seal the edges with your fingertips.
Now make the center using a glass and divide it into 16 equal parts as shown.
Take two parts, turn them inwards twice and seal them from the corners (as seen in the video). Repeat the same for the remaining pieces.
Brush the top of the bread with milk and bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for about 18-20 minutes.
Once cooked, brush it with butter for the glaze and enjoy.
