SPOKANE, Washington – Browne’s Addition is now home to a new artisan bakery! : “Glorious” opened inside the Ladder Building on Riverside Avenue.
Owner Leo Walters quit his corporate job last summer to devote himself full time to his passion for bread making.
He started out small at local farmers’ markets and started selling his product at places like My Fresh Basket and Huckleberry’s last fall. Then he decided it was time to create his own space.
âOnce I started seeing people adopting it like crazy, you not only know how to buy the bread, but buy it over and over, then ask for the bread and specially order the bread, all of those steps. It has become evident that there really is a demand for this here in Spokane, âWalters said.
When you step into Glorious, get ready to try out samples – and lots of them! Walters always offers different breads and dips for customers to try out. There are also oils and vinegars available for purchase. They come from Vanessa Foods, one of Walters’ favorite companies.
A large community table is located in the middle of the space. Walters hopes that everything from businesses to book clubs will eventually meet there and, of course, taste delicious bread!
Glorious is located at 1516 Riverside Avenue. They are open Wednesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Glorious is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
