To make the bread, you will need non-stick cooking spray for the pan.
The dough begins with a stick of salted butter, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, five ripe bananas, flour, baking soda, salt, sugar and pecans.
Pecans are optional if you have someone with a nut allergy in your home. The bread can be made without nuts, or chocolate chips can be substituted for them for an extra depth of flavor.
